More realistic than one fixed hand, but the answer becomes an average across many holdings rather than a single clean number.
This is the honest version of "I have no idea what they have." Rather than force a single fake-precise number out of no information, this checks your equity against a spread of opponents — a tight one (roughly a top 15% range) up to a loose one (roughly top 70%) — and gives you back a range, not a point estimate. If you need one number to act on right now, it also gives you a single best guess (a top 40% range, a reasonable middle-of-the-road opponent) — but the honest answer to "what's my equity" here is a spread, because you're the one missing information, not the maths.
